Batch numbers and certificates of analysis
Every batch has a batch number. A certificate of analysis is tied to that number and lists what was tested and how.
Check a batch
- 1
Find the batch number
It is printed on the carton and on each vial label.
- 2
Look it up
Enter it on the COA lookup page to see the batch record.
- 3
Compare
Check that the product name and batch number on the record match what you received.
What a batch record contains
Purity
Reported with the method used. Ask for the chromatogram, not just the percentage.
Identity
Mass spectrometry confirms that the molecule matches the expected one.
Copper content
For copper peptides, the copper content is part of the specification.
Dates
Test date and, where applicable, manufacturing and expiry dates.
